Kim Rodney started her banking career with Fleet Bank in 1998 on the platform. She spent 11 years at First Union/Wachovia/Wells Fargo starting as a business relationship banker and ending as a senior relationship manager. Kim then spent 3 years at First Niagara Bank as a commercial lender. Over her banking career she has helped businesses navigate the banking world. She has seen start-ups grow to $50MM in sales and has assisted in the sale and financing of businesses in their succession strategy of the business cycle. Currently with Connecticut Community Bank, she wanted to pursue lending with a community-focused bank. She is passionate about being a strong advocate for her business clients, believing that a good banker can be the difference in the financial health of a business.
Kim was the chairperson for (WBDC) Women’s Business Development Council loan committee, where she served on the board since 2007. She currently is the chairperson of the WBDC Capital loan committee. She serves on the board of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council where she sits on the finance committee. She just joined the board of the Beardsley Zoo, also on the finance committee and education committee.
Raised in Westchester County (Pound Ridge, NY), she raised her three children in Massachusetts and Maryland with her husband Ray and has lived in Connecticut since 2005. She is an avid gardener, and has a very energetic Italian Greyhound.
She is a graduate of NYU where she majored in sociology.
